These Terms of Use govern your use of thefirmdubai.com (the "Website"), which is operated by Moaza Alkhadar Advocates and Legal Consultancy, trading as The Firm Dubai ("the Firm", "we", "us"), a law firm licensed in the Emirate of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. By using the Website you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
1. The Website provides information, not legal advice
The content of the Website, including articles, practice descriptions, frequently asked questions and legal updates, is provided for general information only. It is not legal advice, it does not take account of your circumstances, and it may not reflect the most recent changes in the law. You should not act, or refrain from acting, on the basis of anything on the Website without obtaining advice from a qualified lawyer on your specific situation.
2. No lawyer-client relationship
Using the Website, reading its content, or sending us an enquiry through a form, email, telephone or WhatsApp does not create a lawyer-client relationship between you and the Firm. A lawyer-client relationship is created only when we have confirmed in writing that we accept your instructions, usually through an engagement letter, and any required conflict checks have been completed.
Until we have confirmed that we act for you, please do not send us confidential information. Information you send before an engagement is confirmed is not protected by legal professional privilege and we may be unable to treat it as confidential, for example where it concerns a matter in which we already act for another party. We will, however, handle everything you send us with care and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
3. Responding to enquiries
We aim to respond to enquiries within one business day. A response, including a first consultation, is not a commitment to act for you. We may decline to act for any reason, including a conflict of interest, and we are not responsible for any deadline, limitation period or other time limit that expires before we have confirmed an engagement. If your matter is urgent, please telephone us.
4. Intellectual property
The Website and its content, including text, design, logos, photographs and the name The Firm Dubai, are owned by or licensed to the Firm and protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. You may view, download and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not otherwise reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works from the Website content without our prior written permission. Quotations from published articles are permitted with attribution and a link to the source page.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Website in any way that is unlawful, that could damage or impair it, or that interferes with anyone else's use of it. In particular you must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website or its systems, use automated tools to extract content or submit forms, or submit content that is false, defamatory, infringing or malicious.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Firm excludes liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Website or its content. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and nothing in them affects the terms of any engagement letter between you and the Firm, which will prevail in relation to legal services.

Our use of personal data collected through the Website is described in our Privacy Policy, and our use of cookies in our Cookie Policy. Both form part of these Terms.
10. Changes to the Website and these Terms
We may change the Website or these Terms at any time. The revised Terms take effect when they are published on the Website, and your continued use of the Website after that constitutes acceptance. The date at the top shows when these Terms were last revised.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising from your use of the Website are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. The onshore courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute.
